Flimsy Excuses to Miss a Meeting
by WTWizard inwe have seen that they are cracking down on skipping boasting sessions.
i have seen that thread stating the three f's (fever, fracture, funeral) as the only valid excuses for missing one.
and there are reports that the book study hounder will hound people for missing one.

I have to say I got along with worldly folks much better. Even as a kid, I remember going to "Gatherings" and just feeling so out of place. Then at school too, the flag salute put me in such a bad position too. So my childhood was very lonely and isolated. Until I got to Jr. High and High school did I find any real friends escept for two. I am still friends with these guys since the fourth grade and they have treated me better than any jw.
I learned at a young age to never trust any witness kids with ANYTHING personal. They had no discretion. Case in point, we had the bookstudy at our house back in the mid 70's. The elder's kids were in my bedroom after the study as our folks had cake and coffee. They were talking about the latest issue of Playboy or Penthouse or some such mag. They asked if I ever liked to see them and I took out the issue they had talked about. Some red haired model that was in a movie we had all seen recently was teh centerfold. One f fthem nagged me for it so he could read it while he went to the bathroom. Another asked for some of the pictures to take home.
Well I think you can tell what happened after that. Yup, the study was moved out of our pornographic house because I had corrupted the saintly children of the elders. When I came clean to my folks I told them how it went down and they tried to let the elders know the entire story, but they were shouted down and told to be humble and not try to slander the good kids. What I find to be funny is that the one who went and blabbed actually left watchcorp less than 10 years later. Right about the time he was able to move out. I hear he is even gay and quite the thorn in his family's side. I guess I don't blame him. I beieve in my heart that he was forced into his role of rat fink by his dad. No wonder the poor kid left. No one likes to be used like that.

Wow, the year is 2008, and still no Armageddon!
by Nosferatu inevery time we enter a new year, i think about how i wasn't supposed to make it this long.
i really believed we wouldn't live past the year 2000, and armageddon would change everything.
it almost strikes me as living on borrowed time, but then i remember that armageddon is a story, not a reality.

Back in 1970 the CO came by our apartment. My kid sister was 3 yrs old and he told my folks that this little girl would not even have to enroll in school because the end was that close. Well, here we are, 38 years later. She went to school, had kids who went to school, and one of her kids has a kid who will be going to school. What a lying turd he is.

Program jws have to locate each other in emergency
by Velvetann indid anyone hear about the special program the jws had or have for locating each one of the faithful ones when the great tribulation occurs or something like that.
my jw mom who passed away in 2006 was going on and on about this but i didn't want to ask to much.
i would get an earful of preaching then.

Wanna know why? There was once this kid who was a real sonfoanelder. He put up some posters of some rock and roll stars back around 1980. He refused to pull them down off his walls and his father who was in fear of losing his "position" implored the boe to help him to subject his wayward son. So two of them accompanied the dad to the kid's room and looked it over. They asked him why the posters were there and he said because he liked the groups' music. They told him he needed to listen to the kingdom melodies and not rock music. He should also take down the posters. He asked them what they would recommend he decorate his room with....a poster of the governing body? Oh man! When he told me about that I about crapped myself laughing. I pictured this horizontal poster of these pius looking old geezers clutching watchtowers.

there a pitiful little hunchback young man of about 25 that was soooooo introverted it was really sad.
so he calls my house to speak to my elder dad, and i answer the phone.....unfortunately, at 15, i sounded a lot like my dad, and as soon as i said "hello" he blurts out...."brother oompa, i just wanted you to know i have gotten rid of all my pornography, and am going to really try to work in harmony with my prayers to stop masturbating.

I don't understand you. The posts I have read from you make me believe that you are an active JW. Or are you being ultra sarcastic? I cannot speak for the entire group here, but I am not intentionally saying alot of hateful stuff. I am speaking the truth of my own personal experiences while involved with the watchtower organization. If you are an active JW I wonder about why you are here. I have access to some current info and it is still against the law to communicate with so-called apostates. In fact I have heard it is almost a d/f offense to be online. *wink* Now I am not going to tell you to shut up or to get lost. I am not about that. I am simply curious.
